Our History

For over 50 years, Thomas Kitchens Inc. has been servicing the Kitchen and Bath needs of builders, contractors and homeowners across Northeast Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley.

Joe Thomas, an enterprising young carpenter, started working out of his parents 2 stall garage fabricating and finishing countertops in the early 1950’s. That was at a time when Laminate and Formica counters were considered “cutting edge”.  In the mid 1950’s, Joe continued to expand service and started hand building custom cabinets on site in his customers’ homes. 

Thomas Kitchens Inc, officially incorporated in 1960, and has been fortunate to have very loyal customers and employees.  Joe continued to successfully grow his business over the decades.  More recently, Joe’s son Curt took over the day to day management and ownership of the Thomas Kitchen’s Franchise.

Curt was responsible for developing Pennsylvania’s largest kitchen & bath showroom with over 50 decorated kitchens & baths on display. With top notch quality and outstanding craftsmanship in mind, 100% of the Thomas Kitchens custom cabinets and 70% of the semi-custom cabinets are built locally in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.

Thomas Kitchens is fortunate to have very loyal customers and tradesmen.  Most of its talented staff has been working with the company for over 30 years!  We have the knowledge and skills to make anything happen. 

Over the past 50+ years, the business has grown well past its humble beginning, but never lost sight of delivering a quality Kitchen and Bath products at a fair price.
